Congratulations to Eric Macrow for a strong showing at the ofsaa Golf Championships in Belleville this week. Eric's individual 2 day total of 151 placed him tied for 17 th. among st the top 120 high school golfers in Ontario.

The Holy Cross Golf Season began very early in the school year with three qualifyers at the Amherstview Golf Course. Fourteen golfers took part in the tryouts looking for the available 8 spots on the team.
In the end, the following individuals were selected; Noah Steele, Eric Macrow, Connor Lyon, Taylor Braida, Ian Philip, Wyatt Plain, and Cam Brunet.
The first night of KASSAA was a 9 hole round at Amherstview. Holy Cross finished that night in 4th place. The placing remained the same after the second 9 hole round at Napanee. Only the top two teams are allowed to move onto EOSSAA, however other golfers may qualify as individuals.
The final KASSAA event was held at the Loyalist Golf and Country Club. This 18 hole event took place on Monday, June 26. Again the Holy Cross team finished in 4th place and did not qualify to move on, however Eric Macrow did shoot the second lowest score of the day and advanced to EOSSAA.
Eric again had a good result at EOSSAA, which was also held at Loyalist. His 75 was the second lowest score from this tournament of Eastern Ontario high school golfers and qualified him for the OFSAA championships at Trillium Wood in Belleville, October 11-13.

September 20, 2011 at 3:30 - Amherstview Golf Course - 9 holes - partial shot gun
Cost: $20.00
September 22, 2011 at 3:30 - Napanee Golf and Country- 9 holes - partial shot gun
Cost: $15.00
September 26, 2011 at Loyalist Golf and Country Club - 18 holes (tee times start at 11:45 - sheet to follow)
Cost: $45.00
The players $45.00 will include range balls and a meal and drink to follow their match.
Also, there will be awards to follow the match awarded to the KASSAA champions and the low individuals from the 18 hole championship.
