Crusaders End the Season on a High Note
Finishing first place in the K.A.S.S.A.A standings was a great accomplishment for the Crusaders but they knew that there were a lot more important games coming up. The Crusaders played Nappanee on Tuesday November 10th in their home gym. Crusaders took the win and played the defending champs LaSalle Knights on November 12th. This was a tough game but once again the Crusaders came out on top advancing to the K.A.S.S.A.A final game. The Crusaders matched up against the Regiopolis Panthers. The Crusaders did not play their best
game and unfortunately lost. This year for EOSSAA there was two bids which Holy Cross qualified. Disregarding the negative thoughts of the Panthers, the Crusaders were at E.O.S.S.A. Another game took place now to decide who would go to O.F.S.A.A. It was a tough battle the whole game; it could have been either team to take the win. To our advantage we took the lead with 51 seconds on the clock in the forth quarter with a three pointer and Panthers were never able to come back. The Crusaders then travelled to London Ontario, for O.F.S.A.A. They played three games winning two of the three games and losing in the quarter finals. The team had a great season and are looking forward for next year. They will have most of the same girls back only losing their two grade 12’s Riley Shkimba and Brooklin Murphy. Thanks for all the support this season!
